Trends to Look Out For in 2019

We may *just* have welcomed in the new year, but we're already got our eye on the upcoming trends for 2019. If you're looking to get a head start on your new year 'fits, then you've come to the right place! [Spoiler: it includes some bright colours, and a LOT of sequins...]

1. FLURO FEVER

Fluorescent tones made their big comeback at the end of last season, and lucky for us neon lovers, they're here to stay! Inject your wardrobe with some serious vibrancy, or if you're really brave, crank it up a notch by layering different striking shades. Check out some of our stand-out catwalk looks for some neon-spiration:

2. STATEMENT SHOULDERS

SS19 is all about channelling those power shoulder vibes - as far as we're concerned, the bigger the puff the better! Opt for a soft bohemian vibe with muted tones and floral prints, or steal the show with a structured 80s silhouette. Throw in a bold print, and you've got SS19 Resort down to a tee.

3. WHAT THE FRINGE?!

Relive the glamour of the Roaring Twenties with one of the most prominent trends for the upcoming season, and believe it or not, it's easier to incorporate than you think. For an understated daytime touch, opt for a fringe bag or some statement earrings, or (our recommendation) go the full nine yards with a bedazzled fringe frock, à la Ashish.

4. SEQUINS, SEQUINS AND MORE SEQUINS

Don't put that New Year's Eve dress in the attic just yet! Party season may have drawn to a close, but sequins are in it for the long haul. Glam up your 2019 'fits adding sequins to anything and everything - this time round, there's no such thing as too much bling.

5. CUTE BUT CYCLE

Cycling shorts are still reigning supreme in SS19, something Kim K is probably just as excited about as we are. This season's take on the modern classic has seen more styles, fabrics and lengths than ever before, meaning there's a way for *everyone* to get their biker girl fix.
